A Different Kind of Scrapbooking

15 years ago in Belgium, a new concept of scrapbooking was developed using stencils. It’s a concept of page creation that combines templates with creativity. Each set of stencils can create at least 20 different layouts.

freycinet-3Azza was created in 2001 by Dominique Meurice, a woman who, after working in the fields of health and education, wanted to create a company that allowed women to achieve a creative activity around photography. The Azza style of scrapbooking is also known as ‘European scrapbooking.’

The focus is always on the photograph, and the balance of composition on the page layout. The stencils provide a framework which is a starting point for people to get creative.

eole-rachel-timmsIn 2008 Azza came to Australia (Azza Pacific Pty Ltd) where the concept was further developed and is now flourishing. In fact Azza Pacific Pty Ltd now sells into New Zealand, Japan, USA, Canada, Denmark, South Africa, the UK, The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Qatar. Social media has expanded the concept globally.

In Australia, Nathalie Richardson and Roxanne Fisher took it over in July 2010 to keep it here in Australia with Anita Day joining the ranks in 2012. Since 2014, when Nathalie returned to Belgium, the company has been run by Roxanne and Anita.

Roxanne is clearly passionate about the concept and explains, “It was the best thing in scrapbooking we’d ever seen – using multiple photos cut into great shapes, lightweight embellishments, and affordable, creative templates. Extensive training is available to consultants and there are new products every month along with visual guides. It’s fun, simple, quick and stylish but still creative.”

Azza will be at the Adelaide Craft & Quilt Fair from November 3 to 6, 2016.

Yes, we do sell to the USA and the way to do that is to place your order on our website (www.azzaworld.com.au) and our Logistics Manager, Anita Day, will calculate your order and advise you of postage costs. This will all be done prior to processing your order, so if you dont want to go ahead with the order, you dont have to.
