Celebrate Aussie Bush
Dijanne Cevaal has conducted two international textile art projects in recent years, The Sentinelles and The Medieval Project. She designed and printed hand dyed lino-cut prints which textile artists embellished with stitch.
Both projects were so well received and resulted in spectacular exhibitions which toured Australia and New Zealand that she has embarked on a new theme: The Aussie Bush Project which will be displayed at Craft & Quilt Fairs in 2017.
Four panels featuring different Aussie bush themes have been designed and linocut printed by Dijanne on hand dyed fabric panels.
To join this project, simply purchase a panel from Dijanne, add your own stitching and embellish in any way you like. If you want to be included in the travelling exhibition you will then need to send your panel to her. The beauty of this project is that each entry is unique in its embellishment, but the entire display has a common theme.
The exhibition will begin in June and will be seen at:
Craft & Quilt Fairs in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hamilton NZ, Wellington NZ, Adelaide and Brisbane.
Pictured below are the four panel themes and examples of the different colourways.
Each colour is a separate panel. Anyone can join the project, and as Dijanne says, “You don’t have to be an Australian to enjoy an Aussie Bush encounter.”
