Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo:
Challenge Winners

This year the Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo in Brisbane held two competitions which attracted more than 70 entries. Visitors stopped in their tracks as they walked by, taking time to enjoy the range of techniques and ideas on display. The challenge was judged by the visitors with a Viewers’ Choice vote.

Card making challenge

Our card making challenge saw around 50 entries arrive at our doorstep! All cards had to be no larger than A5 when folded. Winners of each category are listed below and received a $100 cash prize.

Winner 1: Stamped. Congratulations to Deb Friend, QLD. Her piece titled ‘18 Degrees of Grunge’ inspired plenty of voters at the show and has won her first prize in the ‘Stamped’ category. (Image below)

Winner 2: 3D or Paper Tole. Congratulations to Lorraine King, NT. Lorraine used stamping, die cutting and embossing to create ‘Aquarium’ and was awarded 1st prize in the ‘3D/Paper Tole’ category. (Image below)

  1. What inspirational people. Their work is absolutely fantastic. I wish I had just a little of their talent instead of having to pinch other peoples ideas and re-inventing them as my own.
They are a credit to our society and should be very proud of their achievements.
    Half their luck !!!!!!!!

  2. Congratulations to the winners. Maybe you should in introduce a class for visually impaired people as well. One of the entrants is definitely visually impaired but she was thrilled to have her card displayed.

  3. Thank you for setting an out of the box challenge that made me actually scrap a photo I had taken but didn’t realise how important it was to my story.
