Sydney Craft & Quilt Fair review
On beautiful Sydney Harbour in the interim venue at Glebe Island (no, it’s not an island!) we recently held our five day Sydney Craft & Quilt Fair. This event is Australia’s largest craft show – in fact we know of no other that is bigger in the entire Southern Hemisphere and people from around the country travel to it.
It is held in conjunction with the Sydney Quilt Show of the NSW Quilters Guild and the quilts this year were indeed spectacular with a red and white category attracting 130 works and the total number of entries a record 440 stunning quilts.
The show is a who’s who of the world of craft and quilting and personalities spotted included blogger Molli Sparkles, Carol Veillon editor of the French Quiltmania magazine, textile designer Julie Paterson, authors Yvette Stanton and Siobhan Rogers to name just a few.
Here are some highlights for your enjoyment.
