Book review: Working with Background Stencils
This is a technique book for learning to use stencils to make interesting and exciting backgrounds. Those backgrounds can then be used for any papercraft you are interested in – scrapbooking, card making, etc
Author Roxanne Fisher’s aim is for you to get the most out of your stencils. The book has step-by-step instructions and photographs of what can be done with a stencil – from basic to more advanced techniques.
Included are over 20 different techniques. Roxanne uses a variety of products to enable you to create unique backgrounds, embellishments and decorations. Products used include inking, chalking, texture, papers, wet and dry embossing and mousse to name but a few. There are also directions on how to create your own stencils.
