Give a Stitch this Christmas
CHRISTMAS, FOR MANY, IS A TIME OF GIVING; AND A DONATION OF GIFTS TO THE KMART WISHING TREE IS JUST ONE WAY TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTION. This year, ‘I’m A Craftaholic’ (an exhibitor from The Stitches & Craft Show and the Craft & Quilt Fair) has teamed up with ‘Melly & Me’ to organise a community project for the Salvation Army Kmart Wishing Tree. They have packaged up patterns and fabric kits* for two popular crafty toys; Mini Magoo’s monkeys and the Giddy Up Hobby Horse. The patterns are compliant in their design for child safety and suitable for all skill levels in sewing. If you would like to Give A Stitch This Christmas, simply purchase the kit of your choice, make your toy and place it under the Wishing Tree in your nearest Kmart store. It’s easy and accessible for everyone to participate! You can also join the Give A Stitch Facebook community and upload a picture of your finished project there. I’m A Craftaholic will be at the Craft & Quilt Fair in Adelaide, November 13 – 16, 2014. Look out for the Christmas Tree on their stand. Now you just need to decide between a Hobby Horse and Two Monkeys! |
